Why You'll Love This Job

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new referral sources while nurturing and expanding existing relationships. This individual plays a key role in driving growth across private duty, skilled services, and medical staffing lines — with a strong focus on building meaningful relationships within the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and face-to-face meetings within the assigned territory.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key community partners, including healthcare providers, senior living communities, social workers, case managers, and other local organizations.
  • Serve as a community liaison, representing the company at local events, health fairs, senior expos, networking groups, and community outreach initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive referrals.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing referral sources across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, physicians’ offices, clinics, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Act as both a hunter and closer — independently driving the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Achieve or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets, with a high volume of in-person interactions.
  • Promote the company’s full range of services, including private duty care, skilled nursing, and staffing solutions.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all activities, leads, and contacts in the company’s CRM (StubHub).
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager, Director of Operations, and Regional Director to develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and community needs to provide strategic insights to leadership.
  • Submit timely reports, including weekly sales summaries and call reports, to local and regional leadership.
  • Address client concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Continuously enhance selling and communication skills through training, feedback, and ongoing development.
