Senior User Experience Designer
Position Summary
BrightStar Care Technology is seeking a user-focused Senior UX Designer to help shape intuitive, scalable digital experiences that improve healthcare operations and support users across the BrightStar Care network.
In this role, you will help turn complex healthcare and operational workflows into simple, user-centered product experiences. You will partner with Product Managers, Program Managers, Engineers, Business Stakeholders, and Marketing teams to design solutions that are practical, accessible, and aligned with real user needs.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX research and design efforts that turn complex workflows and user needs into clear, intuitive product experiences.
- Conduct user research, workflow observations, usability testing, and feedback sessions to understand user needs and pain points.
- Develop personas, journey maps, recommendations, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for stakeholder input.
- Design responsive, accessible interfaces that follow usability best practices and support clear, intuitive user experiences.
- Create and maintain visual design standards, reusable components, and design system guidance to support consistent experiences across BrightStar Care applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally through discovery, design review, sprint planning, and implementation.
- Synthesize user feedback, support tickets, pilot results, and usage data into actionable design recommendations for healthcare operations, reporting experiences, and workflow tools.

Compensation & Work Environment
Salary Range: $130,000–$160,000 annually
The salary range listed reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and other job-related considerations.
Base salary is one component of our overall compensation package, which may also include performance-based incentives, benefits, paid time off, and other offerings depending on the position and eligibility.
This position is hybrid (1-2 days/week in the Bannockburn, IL office) and requires up to 5% travel.

- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Architecture, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–8 years of UX and UI design experience for web-based software applications.
- Experience designing enterprise, operational, or workflow-driven applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user research, workflow thinking, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI design.
- Proficiency with Figma and modern design collaboration tools.
- Experience working within Agile product development environments.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining UX quality and design consistency.
- Experience designing healthcare, EMR/EHR, workforce management, or operational applications.
- Familiarity with Azure-hosted applications and modern cloud-based software ecosystems.
- Experience designing analytics dashboards and data visualization experiences.
