BrightStar is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support our team by leading CPR training for our Caregivers during orientation. Orientation sessions are typically held on Thursdays. This role is perfect for an RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and making a meaningful impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Provide proper CPR training during our weekly orientation classes.
- Implement treatment and plan of care using sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the care plan and nursing processes.
- Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adhere to the company policy, procedures, and protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
- BLS training certification
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Registered nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state in which the care is being provided.
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience
- Exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and community.
- Reliable transportation
- Understanding of regulatory compliance, including state and Federal regulations including but not limited to OSHA and HIPAA
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May be required to respond to emergency situations.
- Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
- Personal Protective Equipment may include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.
